From St. Louis, Mo.: A quilting club was formed by activities coordinator Glenette Nothum, who shared her love of quilting with others. The club meets every Thursday morning to sew quilts from fabric scraps for foster children and veterans. Members with sewing experience, such as 71-year-old Barb Jackson, contribute their skills, while others who are new to sewing, like 81-year-old Doris Lake, are encouraged to join and learn.

The club has received donations of fabric and sewing machines, allowing them to create quilts. Not all members sew, but everyone contributes in some way.

Further details about the quilting club and its activities are available from the source.
