A driver is facing a charge of homicide by vehicle after a fatal incident. The accused, Derrick Lydell Mathis, 52, was taken into custody. He allegedly struck a woman, Andrea Cantrell, with his vehicle.

Mathis was identified through surveillance footage, with assistance from the Georgia State Patrol. Flock Safety license plate readers were also used to track the vehicle.
