Remains found in a wooded area have been identified as those of Hannah Graham Kleitz, a 29-year-old woman who died in 1907. The identification was made nearly 15 years after the remains were discovered. New Castle County Police reported that Kleitz died from a medical illness.

The investigation into the remains began in 2011, with a forensic analysis indicating the victim was a female between 25 and 50 years old. Further DNA analysis and genetic genealogy were used to aid in the identification.

Further details of the investigation are available, including the efforts of the cold case unit and the use of forensic investigative genetic genealogy to identify the remains.
