A new program is coming to the Cumberland area of Cobb County, involving the use of automated shuttles. The Cobb County Board of Commissioners has voted to approve the initiative, which will be tested for three years. The automated shuttles will be operating near the Battery and Truist Park.

This is part of a larger project to introduce autonomous vehicle technology to the area. Further details about the program, known as the Autonomous Vehicle Circulator Pilot Project, are available from the Cobb County Board of Commissioners. The project aims to replace the current transit operation method in the Cumberland area with autonomous vehicle technology.
