The Food and Drug Administration has declared a multi-state Cyclospora outbreak over. Despite this declaration, the FDA is still investigating the infections and the presumed source, Taylor Farms de Mexico lettuce. The outbreak is believed to have sickened thousands of people.

A total of 12,883 illnesses were confirmed across 21 states, resulting in 570 hospitalizations and two deaths. Additional cases were reported, including individuals who ate at Taco Bell or consumed lettuce from other locations.
