A vote is expected on a plan to expand a microtransit pilot program into other parts of Cobb County. The expansion would extend the existing Cobb Linc Go pilot program to areas including Acworth and Kennesaw. Funding for the expansion is largely covered by a trust and grants, with 90% of the costs being met in this way.

The pilot program has been in operation for two years in south Cobb. If approved, the expanded transit service is planned to be available to residents by October.
