A multi-state Cyclospora outbreak has been reported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The outbreak now includes 13 states, with four new states added. The number of people infected has risen, with confirmed cases and hospitalizations reported.

Some of those infected reported eating at a particular restaurant chain before falling ill. Further details about the outbreak, including information on recalled lettuce and precautions to take, are available from the CDC. The agency has provided guidance on what to do if you have the recalled lettuce, and notes that the case count may be higher than reported due to only confirmed cases being counted.
