A postseason game was played in extremely hot conditions, with the temperature feeling like 105 degrees. The heat did not seem to affect one player, who pitched well and allowed only one run and two hits. He struck out seven and walked two, a strong performance considering it was his first postseason start at home.

The game was part of a series between two teams, with one team winning 5-3. Home runs were hit by several players, contributing to the winning team's score. Further details about the game are available from the source.

The winning team's victory was their first in the series, with more games to come.
