City leaders have begun work on a new segment of the Beltline. This particular stretch is considered the most technically difficult part of the Northwest Trail. The project aims to bring the overall loop closer to completion by 2030. Once finished, it will add to the existing trail network.

The new segment is about one mile long and is expected to take roughly two years to complete. It poses some challenges due to its location. Further information about the project is available.

The completion of this segment will contribute to the overall progress of the 22-mile loop, with about 17 miles of trail expected to be finished once this part is done.
