Health officials have identified a source of intestinal illness in the US. The illness, which affects the intestines, has been reported in multiple states. In total, nearly 300 people have been hospitalized and there have been two deaths.

The outbreak is linked to a particular type of lettuce. This lettuce was distributed to restaurants and grocery stores. Although Georgia has no confirmed cases, the state did receive some of the recalled products.
