A shooting occurred on Monday morning in an intown Atlanta neighborhood. An Atlanta Police officer was shot while responding to a mental health crisis call. The incident happened at a residence on Clark Howard Lane.

The officer, who was struck in the arm, received immediate aid from fellow officers and was taken to Grady Hospital. The officer is in stable condition. An adult female at the scene was also injured and transported to Grady Hospital.
