A traffic accident involving an Amazon truck resulted in the deaths of two workers. They were outside their vehicle collecting equipment when the incident occurred. The Amazon truck drifted onto the shoulder, hitting their truck and pushing it across lanes of traffic and over a guardrail. The workers were struck and killed in the accident.

The incident led to the shutdown of a northbound lane for more than four hours. An investigation into the accident is likely being conducted by authorities, including the Georgia State Patrol.
