A crash involving a school bus occurred when a passenger car failed to stop at a red light. The collision happened at an intersection where Briarcliff Road and Fisher Trail meet. Thirty students from Lakeside High School were on the bus at the time of the accident.

Five students were hospitalized as a result of the crash. The remaining students were transported to school on a different bus.
